Example 1:
I was working in our front garden on Friday, trying to pull some of the weeds that had accumulated. It was a spring break and I had Friday off, but schools are still in. As the bus dropped off the kids from elementary school they all come running by my house, we have some large rocks in the front yard that (apparently) they like to play on. The kids couldn't really see me because I was working on the other side of the yard. Most of them just ran on by, but one little boy (couldn't have been more than 6) turns around and says "I like your grass", smiles and runs off. I was in a fit of giggles for a good 5 minutes after that.
Example 2:
We had Kat and Sam's kids over on Friday night to watch "Wreck it Ralph". We had a grand time watching the movie and playing the Wii after. As we were getting ready to taking the kids back to my aunts house. Lindsey (the youngest) Turns to me and asks "Why does your car smell so bad?" I guess I have never noticed if it had a smell, and I actually had just had my carpets cleaned so I was not sure how to answer her. I guess I need an air freshener, Lindsay said that lemon would work.
Example 3:
I love my nieces and nephew they often get me laughing, but I received and email from my sister today that made me miss them all the more. It went like this:
They are so sweet to think of Shane's birthday too. I hope we get to go celebrate their birthdays together soon.
Love, Nellie
Oh the innocence of youth! Lemon? Funny. :)
ReplyDeleteWhen I usually buy air freshners I get lemon, so I told her and she said that that scent would work. :)
